What's New in Luxury Cruises
Watch a movie under the stars as your luxury cruise ship rolls through the seas. Carnival's Liberty ship now plays movies by the pool, outside at night. How could anything be more peaceful? The screens are 12 by 22 feet, and you can soak in the hot tub or float in the pool on deck while the flims play. Some Princess cruise ships now have outdoor movie screens as well.

Freedom of the Seas is now the world's largest luxury cruise ship, taking the throne from Cunard's Queen Mary 2. Freedom of the Seas weighs 158,000 tons and belongs to the Royal Caribbean luxury cruise line. Bring your kids, or maybe this will entice some adults: there is a surf park on board! Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas can carry 3,600 passengers and 1,360 crew. Freedom of the Seas won't keep her throne as largest luxury cruise ship in the world for long, however. Royal Caribbean is planning to build an even bigger, billion-dollar luxury cruise ship in the next few years.

Soundtracks provided. Windstar luxury cruises offer the free use of iPod Nanos to their luxury cruise passengers (anyone who takes a Windstar cruise, that is). The iPods come loaded with hundreds of songs, and luxury cruise passengers can also hook them into the Bose sound systems in their cabins. Of course, luxury cruise passengers can also bring their own MP3 players and plug them into the staterooms' Bose digital systems. We don't all have the same taste in music, of course! Also coming soon to Windstar cruises: wireless Internet in the public areas. High-tech luxury cruises are here!

Love golfing and luxury cruises? Learn more about Fyne Cruises, which offer luxury cruises to Scotland's west coast on a tour of world-famous golf courses in the land where golf was invented. They offer seven-night cruises, where golfers can stop and play golf at a different Scottish golf course each day! The luxury cruise ships wind their way through the islands and coastal areas of Scotland, amonst lands so beautiful you won't even need to enjoy golf to have a ball on this luxury cruise.
