Oak Lawn church gardens for the homeless (SouthtownStar)
Not content to donate canned food to the homeless and hungry, parishioners at St. Germaine Catholic Church in Oak Lawn have planted a garden and are planning to supply a local shelter with fresh produce. "It's really working out well," said Dorothy Denton, one of the gardeners. "We're hoping to produce quite a bit."
